Azada Verde ("Green Hoe" in Portuguese) is a Mozambican conservation initiative dedicated to the restoration and protection of the country's critically important coastal mangrove ecosystems. Mangroves are among the most carbon-dense habitats on earth — essential nurseries for marine life, natural storm barriers, and the backbone of coastal fishing communities across Mozambique.

This 12-day expedition embeds you directly into the Azada Verde programme. Work alongside local conservation scientists and community leaders during morning sessions, then explore Mozambique's extraordinary landscapes — from the coastal wildlife of Maputo National Park to the pristine islands of the Bazaruto Archipelago — in the afternoons and on free days.
